Stardew ValleyandDungeons & Dragonshave quite a bit of overlap, and while you might think it strange, it’s there. There’s adventure and magic and even Sebastian’s six-heart event, where you get to play a game with him and Sam called Solarion Chronicles: The Game.

For a moment, you can be immersed in a fantastical adventure of fantasy and lore like in Dungeons & Dragons in real life. Of course, if Stardew Valley was actually in a Dungeons & Dragons setting things would be different. All the romanceable characters, at least, have pretty notable traits that make them excellent party candidates with some great classes.

12Abigail, Eldritch Knight Fighter

Abigailhas an undeniable thirst for adventure, even sneaking out at night topractice with her weaponsin Pelican Town’s graveyard. She regularly talks to you about your adventures, especially going into the mines and fighting the monsters that threaten to creep up and into town.

She seems to yearn for a similar lifestyle, though Pierre and Caroline seem reluctant to let her carry through with such a dangerous life. It’s also a fairly popular theory -however seriously or ironically it’s taken- that Abigail might be related to a certain purple-haired wizard in Cindersap Forest.

11Maru, Battle Smith Artificer

AlthoughMaru’sday job as Harvey’s front-desk nurse may not seem like it would lend itself to the Battle Smith artificer class as much as her passion for inventing would, you’d be surprised. Artificers can access some light healing magic, which works well to tie in every aspect of Maru’s life.

Plus, Battle Smith artificers usually have a metal companion that follows them around, which is exceptionally fitting once you get to know Maru even more and see some of her later heart events when she shows off.

10Leah, Circle Of The Land Druid

Leah’scottage is snuggly fitted into the landscape of Cindersap Forest, and she readily draws inspiration for her art from the land around her. She’s a down-to-earth artist who fits better in the category of a druid than she does into the category of the more verbally and musically inclined bard.

She works with wood in an incredibly artistic way that even makes the local carpenter, Robin, think about wood in an almost entirely different way. The only thing that could make her more perfect for the Circle of the Land druid class is if she had an animal companion to call her friend. Maybe the Hat Mouse is close enough to count?

9Haley, College Of Glamour Bard

It’s no secret thatHaleycares about her appearance and the appearance of others to the extent that she could easily be considered vain and even rude when you first interact with her. But, as you gradually begin to get to know Haley by giving her some of her favorite gifts or interacting with her, you’ll learn that Haley just loves how nature looks.

She’s incredibly into nature photography and regularly takes time to step away and observe the world and all of its beauty. Appearances are everything, but it’s not just on the surface level, and the College of Glamour bard would agree.

8Emily, Way Of The Four Elements Monk

Emilyis in tune with herself and the world around her and clearly believes in finding harmony with the world. She stands out among the other villagers in her unique way, which makes her perfect to be the Way of the Four Elements monk class.

Considering her love for gems, if she had to focus on a specific element in this class, it would likely be earth. Maybe you could go a little bit further in exploring her love for the metaphysical bygiving her some magic itemstoo.

7Penny, Knowledge Domain Cleric

As the resident teacher, it only makes sense that Penny would be oriented toward a class and subclass that focuses so heavily on learning. AlthoughPennymight not have any use for magic, she would definitely take her starting proficiencies in history and nature.

Knowledge Domain clerics covet and collect knowledge, both old and new, and while Penny may not be in a position where she has the space to collect it, the library is close enough. Maybe Vincent and Jazz could even be little imp familiars.

6Shane, Path Of The Totem Warrior Barbarian

There are certainly a lot of classes to consider withShanein mind, but the Path of the Totem Warrior barbarian works well to represent his entire journey in Stardew Valley. As you regularly interact with Shane, you’ll see more glimpses into his life and who he is, and in those glimpses, you’ll see him evolve and go through a rigorous journey of self-improvement.

His Totem would undeniably be the ever-desirable blue chicken as his inspiration, guide, and protector. It serves as a reminder of how far he’s come and how he can improve the world around him.

5Alex, Champion Fighter

Alexis a tricky character because there’s no class that’s specifically designed to be an athlete. However, it’s fairly reasonable to say that a Champion fighter would be one of the most athletic of the bunch. Highly competitive and looking to be one of the greats, a Champion fighter fits snuggly into place as a good substitution for the star football player that Alex dreams of being.

Champion fighters focus on pure physical power that they’ve made into a deadly weapon, and if there’s one character in Stardew Valley that is undeniably strong, it’s Alex.

4Elliott, Order Of Scribes Wizard

He’s a writer, and he’s a little bit fanciful, so what better class forElliottthan a wizard? Even better is the Order of Scribes subclass, which focuses specifically on writing. Traditionally an Order of Scribes wizard might be more oriented towards collecting books that contain spells or old knowledge, but there’s nothing explicitly stating that they can’t be fiction, which works better for Elliott.

Even better is that starting at second level, Order of Scribes wizards can create a quill with unending ink for free, and Elliott is definitely extra enough to write with a quill.

3Harvey, Life Domain Cleric

Was there any question about this one? There might not be any class specifically dedicated to flying, given that most Dungeons & Dragon campaigns take place on the ground, but there are plenty of doctor-type classes.

As a Life Domain cleric,Harveywould mainly focus on healing and supporting his fellow party members. He might dream about owning and operating an airship one day, but he’ll have to watch them from a distance for now, but at least he’s a good cleric.
