For those of you who’ve been bingingThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomover the weekend, you’ll know that there are several returning characters from Breath of the Wild that have undergone pretty big changes to their character design in Tears of the Kingdom. One of the characters with a more drastic change is Purah, who has seemingly come up with some sort of age fixing device and is now a fully grown woman. As a result, she’s rocking a brand new look, and it seems like the majority of players needed to pick their jaws up off the floor and put their eyeballs back in their sockets when she came tumbling out of her workshop. Pretty much everyone in Tears of the Kingdom is an absolute smokeshow, but Purah seems to have been singled out by the majority of theZeldafanbase - possibly due to her being the first major character you meet - and are down pretty bad.Related:Tear’s Of The Kingdom’s Korok Crucifixions Aren’t The Problem, Ultrahand IsThere are currently thousands of posts about Purah from over the past few days, mainly comprised of people fawning over the scientist. You’ll find countless videos of people just staring at Purah with their camera, hundreds of memes about how they can’t get her out of their head, and there are even dedicated Purah fan accounts on Twitter. You’ll also find a healthy supply of smutty fan art, so maybe don’t go searching if you’re at work or sat in your parent’s living room.
You’ll also find a fair few Hyrule Warriors fans feeling pretty vinidicated about the whole situation. For those that haven’t played, Purah was also redesigned for Age of Calamity, sporting a relatively similar look to what she looks like in Tears of the Kingdom. Now that her new look is in a mainline title, those people that stuck by her in Age of Calamity are feeling pretty validated right about now.
You have to feel sorry at Zelda fans at some point though, they’d literally only just got overtheir obsession with buff Ganonbefore Purah entered the scene. If you missed it, a new piece of art for Ganon was released shortly before the launch of Tears of the Kingdom, and it had Zelda fans pretty flustered. Here’s hoping there isn’t another ridiculously hot Zelda character hiding somehwere in Hyrule, I don’t think Zelda fans can take much more.
