Battles Of Legend: Monstrous Revenge is a part ofYu-Gi-Oh!’s all-foil Battles Of Legend series of cards. The set introduces a handful of cards premiering in that set along with plenty of reprints of staples for duelists to have access to some of the most powerful cards in the game. Battles Of Legend: Monstrous Revenge has plenty to be excited for and plenty of ways to power up your decks. Staples can often be pricey so the reprints are much appreciated and the new cards power up old and new strategies alike.
10Shadow’s Light
Shadow’s Light is asupport card for Chaos strategies- decks that take advantage of specifically Light and Dark monsters. Shadow’s Light in particular helps you cheat out Light Monsters from the extra deck by tributing a Dark Monster. Only Fusion and Synchro monsters can be brought out with Shadow’s Light (as Xyz and Link Monsters don’t have Levels), but there are plenty of powerful monsters to choose from still.
In addition to this, after its initial use, you get a free extra normal summon of a Light or Dark monster - something that is very useful in a combo-heavy deck like Chaos decks tends to be.
9Super Polymerization
A reprint of a card that’s been around for some time, Super Polymerization remains one of thestrongest fusion spells ever printed. It allows you to easily deal with your opponent’s monsters by fusing them away and giving you a monster for your trouble.
Nothing in the game can react to Super Polymerization’s activation. In a world of boards that put down a ton of negates, Super Polymerization is a way to deal with them without having to worry about losing out on any of your monster abilities or combo lines.
8Assault Synchron
Assault Synchron isa staple for Synchro decksas it can special summon itself for just 700 life points (which is not a big deal at all). Synchro decks want ways to get as many monsters on the field as possible to Synchro summon with and Assault Synchron gives a whole new extender.

It does lock you into Synchro Monsters but only as long as it’s on the field. Once you get it off, you can go back to making other Extra Deck monsters, meaning that if your deck plays multiple types of Extra Deck monsters, Assault Synchron won’t mess up your game plan.
7Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage!
Sky Striker has been a strong contender in the Yu-Gi-Oh! metagame since its introduction. Battles Of Legend: Monstrous Revenge introduces more cards to the archetype as well as a reprint of the staple card Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage!
The card is the main searcher for the archetype and even drawing it later in the game allows you to get an extra card as well. The card in practice essentially lets you draw two cards, with one of those cards chosen by you.Sky Striker decks mostly play spell cards, so you are often going to be able to take advantage of both of Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage!’s effects.
6Rite Of Aramesir
Rite Of Aramesir is a key card in the Adventure engine. This engine is built around cards that benefit from having an Adventurer token on the field. Rite Of Aramesir is one of the main ways to get this token on the battlefield and also gets the continuous spell of the engine onto the field for free if you don’t control it.
This does lock you out of the effects of normal summoned monsters for the rest of the turn, though. However, the Adventure engine is one that goes into decks that do not normal summon anyways, so this downside is hardly a problem in decks playing Rite Of Aramesir.
5I:P Masquerena
I:P Masquerena has been a staple in combo decks as one of the main ways to set up an interruption on your opponent’s turn. There aremany powerful Link monstersthat have effects that trigger on their Link summon, and I:P Masquerena is a way to use them on your opponent’s turn.
One of the more popular uses of I:P Masquerena is to Link summon Knightmare Unicorn to shuffle a card on the field back into the deck to interrupt your opponent’s combo. There are many options that I:P Masquerena has and the list of cards it pairs well with is increasingly growing.
4Duality
Duality is a fantastic support card for Chaos decks and a way to trade out a Light or Dark monster for one of the opposite attribute out of the Extra deck. It does have to be the same original Type and Level, but in the right builds, this is hardly a downside. Plus, it can help to easily bring out powerful Fusion and Synchro monsters.

In the graveyard, if you have extra Light and Dark monsters there, you can shuffle them into the deck to get a card draw. Duality is a quick play spell as well, which allows you to use it on your opponent’s turn to suddenly bring out monsters with the ability to negate or act as floodgates.
3The Bystial Lubellion
The Bystial Lubellion does a whole lot on just one card. It is easily special summoned so long as you have aLevel six or higher Dragon Dark monsteron your field to tribute. Once on the battlefield, you can place any Branded continuous backrow of which there is no shortage of powerful ones.
Even in the hand, The Bystial Lubellion is fantastic as it can be used as a searcher for any other Bystial monster. The Bystial monsters are very versatile, and there are some that can even banish monsters from graveyards, acting as interruption.
2Sky Striker Ace - Azalea
Sky Striker Ace - Azalea is one of the few link-2 monsters thatSky Striker has access to. It’s a way to continuously clear out your opponent’s monsters without having to worry about losing Azalea. Whenever it battles (including your opponent attacks into it), you can banish a spell card from the graveyard to destroy the attacking monster before it has a chance to destroy Azalea.
Sky Striker Ace - Azalea can also destroy cards on its own for free as long as you have more than three spell cards in your graveyard. Its effect to destroy at the damage step does not target either, which gets it around targeted protection.
1Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder
One of the best Xyz monsters in the history of the game, Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder gets a welcome reprint in Battles Of Legend: Monstrous Revenge. It’s almost never going to be Xyz summoned with two Level 12 monsters, but by overlaying it onto an Xyz monster a turn, you may attack with one.
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder is a board wipe waiting to happen as soon as it hits the field. The effect sends cards to the graveyard, getting around various forms of protection. Very few cards resist Sky Thunder’s field wipe effect and it is often enough to win the game on its own.
