Across the worlds inThe Sims 4, your Sim can collect gadgets and gizmos a-plenty. Through the base game and various packs, collectibles are featured items that cannot be found in buy mode. All items are displayable in your Sim’s home, and some collections are attached to aspirations.

From crystals that are hidden in your backyard, to postcards from your hamster, and to creatures that can only be found in space, there are whozits and whatzits galore to be gathered. So, here’s a list of some of the most interesting collectibles your Sim can find and where they can find them.

12Seashells

Seashells are a collection included with the Island Living expansion pack, meaning that they are only found in Sulani and the ways to obtain them are tied into the gameplay featured in the pack. Have your Sim comb the beach (including their home lot!) with hopes of digging up one, or send them diving into the water.

The most adorable way to find them, though, is by having your Sim befriend a dolphin who will then gift seashells to your Sim.

11Experimental Food Photos

The items in this collection are a series of art prints attached to the experimental dishes in Dine Out. This collection is easy to achieve for a Sim with the foodie trait, as the way to achieve each item is to have your Sim go out to eat. When they arrive at a restaurant that serves experimental dishes, select the plate when it arrives and have them take a photo of it. The print will automatically be earned.

You can either make your own restaurant (which you can hang your new prints in) or use a pre-made one that can be found in the gallery.

10Message In A Bottle

How romantic! These items were included in the My Wedding Stories pack and can only be found along the shoreline in Tartosa. They’re quite easy to collect, as your Sim just needs to locate and dig up mounds of sand that will spawn on the beach.

The biggest requirements for this collection are time and patience, as it may take a while to dig up bottles you haven’t already found. The messages range from silly jokes from pirates and lovelorn poems, all the way to a haunting message fromthe Grim Reaper.

9Feathers

What’s better than having your Sim explore the world to find collectibles? Letting your Sim’s cat and dog do it for them! Feathers are included with the Cats & Dogs expansion pack, and can only be gathered by your pets.

Your canine companion may occasionally come home with a feather for you, but your feline friends are more inclined to hunt birds and come home with a reward. You can hang up the feathers on a mount in your home that will feature the feather alongside a photo of the type of bird it came from.

8Microscope Prints

Eureka! If your Sim has a high logic skill (which can be more easily gained with the genius trait), a microscope, and plenty of objects to analyze samples from, they can end up completing a gorgeous collection of hangable microscope prints.

Plants, fossils, and crystals are the available samples to get these prints from, incentivizing you to complete those collections as well while you try to find which objects will yield a print. The prints themselves are beautiful and look like pieces of fine art.

7Frogs

Frog catching is a fun activity for the whole family to participate in, as child Sims can also contribute to this collection. Frogs are a base game collectible that can be found in logs in Willow Creek, and small ponds in Oasis Springs. But interestingly enough, catching them isn’t the only way to grow your collection.

you may breed frogs in order to get a new species, letting you discover increasingly rare types of frogs. But be careful with how many of these frogs you decide to keep, as you can easily end up with a frog habitat on every surface of your Sim’s home.

6Geodes

You may think you may find geodes scattered around the world like fossils and crystals, but they are actually one of a few collections that can only be found when your Sim gets in their rocket and explores space. It’s a smaller collection with only six to be found, but the journey to get them makes it well worth it.

Your Sim has to unlock access to Sixam, and once they can explore the alien planet, they’ll find geodes in the ground much like they find collectibles back home. They can display the colorful space rocks in their home to show them off to the welcome wagon.

5Ancient Omiscan Artifacts

Deep in the Selvadoradan jungle, only able to be found by the best of the Sim explorers, are the ancient Omiscan artifacts. As your Sim trudges through the world included in the Jungle Adventure pack, they’ll uncover a variety of collectibles including these artifacts. Though, they won’t know for sure until they clean them offat an archeology table.

This is the collection that you need to verify, as each item has a fake counterpart that your Sim may end up gathering. The fakes aren’t tied to any collection, so they don’t count for much aside from a funny story and a strange piece of decor.

4Postcards

Not every Sim is looking to go out into the world to find collectibles in perilous places — some would much rather stay at home and explore the world from the comfort of their computer. On the web, your Sim can connect with a pen pal who will (upon request) send them a postcard from their neighborhood, which you may recognize from The Sims 3.

The other way to get postcards is through the My First Pet Stuff pack. Your rodent will occasionally go on adventures in their mini rocket and return with a postcard souvenir to show you where they’ve been.

3Moonwood Relics

When the full moon rises over Moonwood Mill and your Sim transforms into a beast of the night, there’s only one thing to do… sniff out some rare collectibles. These items fromthe Werewolves packcan be found by scavenging the dirt in your Sim’s wolf form, or by exploring the tunnels in the town.

This collection has a few unique aspects, including a special display case made to fit each item, and some juicy lore that only werewolf Sims can discover by examining each object, eventually unlocking the secrets of Moonwood Mill!
