InStory of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, seasonal crops are the bread and butter of your farm. With several dozen crops spread across three generations of hybrid seeds, you’ve got your work cut out for you if you’d like to grow a variety of crops in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

Now, instead of being listed alphebetically, our seasonal crop tables will be organized in the same order that the game auto-sorts the crops and seeds into. Crop Seasons, Explained
In Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life,planting your crops during the right seasonsis crucial tomaking money on your farm.
Each crop has arange of seasons in which it grows, meaning you canplant in any of these seasonsand expect a healthy crop in return.
Once planted, you’ll also need to contend withcrop growth time.Each crop requires adifferent number of days to grow.
These range from"very quick"all the way up to"a long time,“with the shortest crop growth time being only a few days, and the longest being the entire season.
The game prevents you from physically planting any crops that are out of season when you attempt to - if the square doesn’t light up to tell you that you’re able to plant there, then you’re likely trying to plant something when it won’t grow.
However, the game doesnotstop you from forgetting toharvest your crops on time, nor from planting a new seed when there’s not enough time left to actually grow it before the season ends.
If something isstill growing when the season ticks overinto a season during whichthe crop doesn’t grow, the cropwill wither and need to beremoved with your Sicklebefore you’re able to plant something else in its place.
Crops alsowither if left unharvestedin the field for too long, so always be sure you’rechecking on your plants a few times each dayto be sure they’re not being left to rot.
That said,most crops grow across multiple seasons. you may see which seasons crops are viable on theInventory screenin your menu.
If a crop grows during multiple seasons, this means you’re safe toleave it planted as the season changeswithout worry of it rotting. If it’s able to grow in the coming season, it will continue growing as if just another day has passed as normal.
A Note On Fruit Trees
In our guide below, we’ve included fruit trees based onwhen the fruit is harvestedfrom them.
That said, fruit trees require quite some time to grow - they grow for a season, flower for a season, andthenproduce fruit for two days.
