Maybe you’ve been playing since Early Access and have played through the campaign every time an update came out. Maybe you’re planning for the future and doing a little window shopping. Whatever your situation might be, this mod list will set you off in the right direction.
Updated Jul 05, 2025, by Jack Pierik:Have you nabbed those shiny, golden dice yet? If not, that’s totally understandable; Honor mode is a gigantic undertaking that very few people have the tenacity to endure until the end. Don’t worry about it; comparison is the thief of joy, as they say.Instead, why not focus on loading up your game with tons of mods and let the shenanigans ensue? Whether it’s new monsters, races, clothing and accessories, weapons, gear, or something else, there’s plenty of custom content to peruse. Just… check your load orders; you never know when one mod is going to throw a fit over another.

Okay, for most of you, Hobgoblins aren’t going to be your first choice, but don’t judge a rat by its tail just yet. With four different subraces to choose from, each with its own preferred playstyles and custom passives, the idea of playing as a Hobgoblin might grow on you.
Whether you’re playing as a Strongblade that’s bashing in chest cavities, a Koalinth wielding a trident in challenging terrain with grace, a Sunscorch spewing draconic flame, or a Harrower that just loves to yell, you have options to experiment with.

As the name implies, Many More Monsters is perfect for anyone looking to cram more variety and carnage into their next playthrough. From new encounters and scripted events to minibosses and reworked base game fights, you’ll have plenty of experience to earn.
Although, as the author recommends, you might want to pair this mod with a couple others: Combat Extender and Expansion. This helps with balance tweaks and to raise the game’s default level cap of 12. Ignoring this advice is also an option if you’re a fan of the chaotic alignment.
Noble Couture - Armor And Robes

Saving the world can be somewhat of a drag; oftentimes, that responsibility just gets shoved onto you, and in this case, it happened to be because of Mind Flayers and their gross form of reproduction. Seriously, why does it have to be a toothy worm wriggling around in your head?
In any case, you might as well look stylish and classy while you’re being the hero, and with Noble Couture, you’d be hard pressed finding someone more suave than yourself. Well, aside from Astarion, but that’s tough competition.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has an incredible amount of depth; so much, in fact, thatit’s easy to lose up to a few hours in the character creation screenbefore your journey even begins. One thing Larian Studios didn’t include amongst the heaps of content it created, however, is glasses.
With Seth’s Glasses, you’ll gain access to eight new spectacles, each with their own theme and style, which are found in the piercings section of the character customization UI. Most lenses have a well-made and professional look, but you’ll find some humorous options too.

Have you ever stopped in your tracks at some point during a playthrough and thought, why did Larian Studios limit the party size to only four members? Why not five, or six, or eight? If your answer was yes, then Party Limit Begone is the sledgehammer you need to break the chains of limitation.
If you’re playing on your own, this mod will let you have up to 15 other party members, giving you a max party size of 16 members including yourself. If you fancy playing with friends, you can have up to eight multiplayer connections playing at once. Now that’s a real war party.
Wine and Revelry

Maybe the base species just weren’t calling out to you. Sure, Dwarves and Dragonborn are cool, and you can’t beat the infamy of Drow, but still, there’s just… something missing. If you’re caught in this exact conundrum, perhaps Wine and Revelry can help.
With this mod, you may play as an entirely new species: a Satyr. Hairy legs, hooves, and horns aren’t the only things you get, though. Given that you’re basically half person, half magical goat, you’ll be afforded inherent bonuses to movement speed, jump distance, and magical resistance. Oh, and best of all, you get to ram people as a combat action.

Choose Your Stats is a largely straightforward, but no less useful mod for altering a variety of your character’s stats. Once installed, you can drink a potion to change your Armor Class, base stats, speed, and more.
Whether you’re quite familiar with Dungeons & Dragons and the Baldur’s Gate series, or you’re completely new to all of this, there’s no shame in admitting to those times when the species or class you chose, or the stat point you allocated, needs a bit of tweaking.

There may be some issues on Patch 7 with this mod; some users recommend crouching if you’re having trouble picking up loot.
Legendary Items addsan impressive variety of legendary weaponsand gear to the game. Some additions sound epic, like theDoom Axeor the Hungering Hammer, while others come across as comical, like the Crossbow of Many Bolts, or the Grippy Gloves.
With so much to choose from, you’re practically guaranteed to find at least one useful item, regardless of the class you’re playing. Heck, you can even dual wield a pair of hand crossbows if you like the idea of that.
Buy Your Starting Equipment makes sure that you start the game with the gear and items you prefer, so long as you have enough gold to do so. You’ll start with no weapons or armor, but you’ll have gold based on your class and a trader to interact with.
If you harm or attack the trader in any way, they will refuse to trade with you. Pickpocketing really isn’t a great idea either if you were thinking of that option. ensure you buy everything you want before leaving, because the trader is only in the tutorial level.

More Frequent Feats has a grievance to address with the vanilla experience; typically, you’re only going to get a new feat every four levels, perhaps even less if you’re multi-classing. With this mod, you’ll be able to choose a new feat every two levels, yielding up to six feats at max level.
Now, you won’t be forced to carefully weigh which feat seems the most useful at levels four, eight, or 12. Instead, you can explore and try out feats to your heart’s content, and possibly discover synergies you otherwise wouldn’t have found.
