Summary

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis basically the perfect sequel. It introduces some incredibly fun mechanics, but it also improves upon the mechanics you know and love fromBreath of the Wild, like shrines, Korok puzzles, and cooking — including some new recipes.

Of course, the recipes that help with Link’s various stats have proved to be the most useful over the course of the two games, like a meal that can replenish the hero’s stamina when you’re about to fall from a big climb.

ThisEnergizing Elixirrecipe only requires a few, easy-to-acquire ingredients: Restless Crickets or Energetic Rhino Beetles, and any monster part. Of course, the more critters you use in the recipe, the more stamina it will replenish — if you want to restore a whole wheel of stamina, make sure to use four critters with your monster part as the final ingredient.

If you don’t want to worry about finding these crickets or beetles in the wild, you can also pick them up from the merchant Beedle atany of the stables(look for the guy with the big backpack -thank you!).

Ingredients

As theEnduring Elixirname suggests, the Enduringeffect is fairly similar to its Energizing counterpart, with one key difference: recipes with Enduring in their title not only replenish stamina, but temporarilyincreaseLink’s max stamina. to craft this recipe, you’ll need some Tireless Frogs and a monster part.

Tireless Frogs are pretty common around Hyrule, but the easiest place to find them is probablyinside the wells that are pretty much all around the map. This is another recipe that’s easy to put together that can make a huge difference during a climb or a fight.

Thankfully,Stamella Shroomsare some of the most common ingredients you can come across in Tears of the Kingdom, because you’ll need five of them to make this recipe. On top of thebenefit of five-heart restoration, the EnergizingMushroom Skewersreward you with a whole wheel and a half of stamina restoration.

If you have Link’s stamina maxed out at three wheels, eating two of these meals back to back will fully restore that stamina as well, so keep that in mind for your next big rock-climbing excursion.

This single-ingredientHoney Candyrecipe can come in handy in a pinch — all you’ll need to make it is some courser bee honey. you’re able to always add more honey if you want some more stamina restoration as well. Keep an eye out for the honeycomb hanging from trees in dense forest areas, and verify to have a plan to fend off some angry bees.

This recipe also has some small health benefits as well, so while Link probably can’t be sustained on a candy diet alone (though we’re sure plenty of us wish we could), it’s a nice, easy snack to have along the way on his adventures.

There are a lot of recipes in Tears of the Kingdom that sound absolutely delicious in real life, and the EnergizingMushroom Rice Ballshave got to be at the top of that list. All you’ll need are some Stamella Mushrooms and some Hylian Rice, the latter of which can be found at the Zora and Hateno Village general stores, as rewards from some quests, or even by simplycutting some tall grass.

Just throw four Stamella Mushrooms and some rice into the pot, and you’re good to go with a wheel of freshly-restored stamina. The more Shrooms you include, the more stamina you restore.

Some of the recipes in the game can be quite a mystery, but the EnergizingButtered Stambulbis made of exactly what it sounds like — Stambulbs and some Goat Butter. You probably picked up by now that the more stamina-restoring ingredients you use, the more stamina you’ll end up getting out of it, so to get the max output for this recipe (a full stamina wheel) verify to use four Stambulbs along with the butter.

Stambulbs can be found throughout the Sky Islands, and you can purchase Goat Butter at the Kakariko, Hateno, and Rito Village general stores.

The key to an EnergizingFish Skeweris using at least two Stamonika Bass, which will net Link four hearts and more than two stamina wheels upon consumption.

These are awesome benefits on their own, and of course, you’re able to boost them even more by using up to five Stamonika Bass fish. Utilizing multiples of one ingredient, the Energizing Fish Skewer has to be one of the easiest, yet most effective recipes to remember.

The most common locations to find Stamonika Bass are places with moderate temperatures, like Hyrule Field and West Necluda.

The nice thing about theFried Wild Greensrecipes in Tears of the Kingdom is that they can be made with a large variety of different ingredients. If you want to max out the stamina-restoration benefits of this meal, though, you should make it with five Endura Carrots — this will grant you a whopping 12 hearts on top of the full stamina restoration.

But wait, there’s more! Because it’s an Enduring recipe, you’re also getting someextra temporary stamina— about a full wheel and a quarter, to be exact.

Another simple-yet-effective recipe comes in the form of the EnergizingSeafood Skewer. All you need for this one is five Bright Eyed Crabs, which you can find near the coasts or in caves (these crabs are common in the Lanaryu region as well).

They’re pretty hard to miss, with their bright white shells — just make sure not to let them scuttle away before you can grab them! This recipe will restore ten hearts and nearly three rings of stamina, making it one of the most well-rounded recipes you can cook.

Adding Prime Meat into any recipe is going to make it a heavy-hitter, and cooking it up with some Endura Carrots makes EnduringSalt-Grilled Prime Meatone of the best stamina-restoring meals in the game.

Changing the vegetables you use may change the recipe, so tread lightly when subbing out your carrots.

While gathering these ingredients might cause the creation of this meal to be a bit more time-consuming, it’s a pretty big payout with 15 hearts and full stamina restoration, plus a temporary stamina wheel.
