Updated on July 03, 2025 by Casey Foot:Tears of the Kingdom has lots of side quests, so much so that you still might not have completed them all. With so many available, it’s difficult to know where to start, so we’ve added a few more great side quests to tackle on your adventure throughout Hyrule.
This article includes spoilers for the ending of these side quests.
Yiga Armor
Yiga Tights
Only members of the Yiga Clan can enter the Yiga Clan Hideout, but Link might struggle to make the cut, considering he is their sworn enemy. Luckily, Link can gather the pieces of the Yiga armor set by rescuing the tailors at the three Yiga branches across Hyrule as part of the Infiltrating the Yiga Clan side quest. Once you have the full set, you can enter their hideout whenever you please, provided you’re wearing it.
The regular citizens of Hyrule won’t be too happy with Link’s choice of outfit, but it’s interesting to observe their reactions. Seeing how the Yiga Clan behaves behind closed doors is also a treat, as it gives you a better insight into their group.
Reward(s)
Produce selected to be grown
After completing the Teach Me a Lesson series of quests, an NPC called Uma will give you access to a plot of land in Hateno Village to celebrate Link becoming a professor. She will grow produce such as tomatoes, rice, and wheat for you to collect every few in-game days.
Once you complete the initial quest, you can continue to grow different crops, allowing you to easily gather a specific item without searching for it or spending your hard-earned Rupees. Hateno Village has lots of quests that help to flesh out the world-building of this location, and this is just another example.
100 Rupees per tablet
Zonai Survey Team paraglider fabric
In Lookout Landing, there is an NPC called Wortsworth investigating a tablet inscribed with ancient Hyrulean text that has fallen from the sky. Visiting Wortsworth at the Zonai Survey Team Base in Kakariko Village, Link learns of 12 more tablets throughout Hyrule, each containing information about the kingdom in the past.
Though Link is unable to decipher the ancient text himself, you’re able to show pictures of the tablets to Wortsworth, and he will offer his own interpretations of what they say. While he gives you 100 Rupees for each picture andthe Zonai Survey Team paraglider fabric, the real reward is the lore that’s revealed during this quest, involving King Rauru, Queen Sonia, Princess Zelda, and Mineru.
Heart Container or Stamina Vessel
TheA Call From The Depthsside quest involves traveling into the Depths to reunite an eerie statue with its four missing eyes. After speaking with the Goddess Hylia Statue in the Temple of Time, Link is asked to drain an area on the Great Plateau of water to free a small Bargainer Statue; however, it seems to be another voice speaking through Hylia’s effigy.
Once the water is drained, the voice instructs Link to find each of its four eyes near chasms and return them to the main Bargainer Statue in the Depths beneath the temple. Reuniting the statue with its eyes can be difficult, as Link must safely transport them through the Depths using Zonai devices.
The statue is a mysterious presence in the Depths; it mentions that its eyes were stolen, but it doesn’t say why or by who. While it can be a challenging quest to complete, it’s worth it, as you receive either a Heart Container or Stamina Vessel as a reward.
Unlock each Great Fairy
In Tears of the Kingdom, the Great Fairies are hiding within their fountains and will only reveal themselves if they hear music. To awaken them, you must reunite the musicians who are scattered throughout Hyrule and transport the reformed Stable Trotters to each of the Great Fairies.
The song gets more lively as each musician’s instrument is added, creating a new rendition of Epona’s Song. However, the best part of this quest is actually taking the group to the Great Fairies, as Link’s careless driving will cause them to cry out. Unlocking the Great Fairies themselves is just a bonus.
Cece Hat
When you enter Hateno Village, you’ll notice that the whole village has a mushroom theme, which you find out is courtesy of Cece - a fashion designer who specializes in mushroom-inspired clothing. However, not everyone is a fan of Cece’s fashion trends, including Mayor Reede, who values Hateno’s traditions.
By speaking to Reede, Cece, and other residents of Hateno, you learn that the two have more in common than they think, and you can help them resolve their issues. The questline does an excellent job of fleshing out the village and its residents, especially the electoral candidates, making it feel more alive.
10Hylian Rice
There are some differences betweenBreath of the Wild’s Hateno Village and the one you explore in Tears of the Kingdom. Princess Zelda had a school built for the village’s children, with an NPC called Symin teaching them about Hyrule’s history, specifically the Great Calamity.
Unfortunately, the children are struggling to believe Symin’s lessons, so Symin asks Link to take a picture of the mural in Paya’s Hall, which depicts the events of 10,000 years ago. It’s somewhat ironic that the children don’t believe in the events, considering the legendary Hero is standing in the classroom with them…
Bokoblin Mask
In Tears of the Kingdom, the monster aficionado Kilton is back, this time with his brother, Koltin, in tow. Rather than monsters, Koltin has an interest in Satori and wants to become one himself. He believes he can make the transformation by consuming Bubbul Gems.
To get Bubbul Gems, you must hit a Bubbulfrog, causing it to drop one. If you give Koltin one Bubbul Gem, he’ll reward you with the Bokoblin Mask in return. After completing this initial Side Adventure, you can search for Koltin across Hyrule. Keep giving him Bubbul Gems, and he’ll give you the Mystic armor set, which is reminiscent of Satori.
Energizing Veggie Porridge
Reduced prices at the shop
When visiting Kakariko Village, you’ll notice that the clothing shop’s prices have been heavily inflated. The shopkeeper, Claree, explains that she’s beside herself with worry because of her grandmother’s condition after encountering the Gloom and that they’re using all their funds to care for her.
If you speak to Lasli, Claree’s sister, she mentions that there is supposed to be a special type of porridge that can heal the Gloom illness, but she can’t find the necessary ingredients. To help their grandmother, Link has tomake Sunny Veggie Porridgeand offer it to Lasli, who immediately gives it to her grandmother.
After Nanna makes a miraculous recovery, Claree encourages Lasli to go to Hateno Village to follow her dreams of being a fashion designer, saying that, one day, they’ll fill Enchanted with Lasli’s designs.
Dependent on progress inthe Potential Princess Sightings! questline
The All-Clucking Cucco is part of a longer series of quests that involves visiting different stables, but this is one of the weirder ones you’ll come across. Near South Akkala Stable is a Cucco that supposedly has the power of prophecy. The talking Cucco will ask Link to perform two trials under a time limit: climbing to the top of the stable and bringing it three logs.
Once you successfully complete these tasks, the Cucco will mock Link and reveal its true identity - the Yiga. The Yiga’s methods to take down Link are certainly unorthodox - just how long has the Yiga Footsoldier been pretending to be a chicken?
