The silver lining, though, is that each class in the game gives you access to unique and powerful crowd control skills that can keep you in the fight. If you’re feeling stun locked trying to figure out which skills offer the best base effects, synergies, and damage potential for each class, check out these ten best crowd control skills.

8Druid: Poison Creeper

Poison Creeperis a Companion skill for Druid that passively poisons enemies around you. When activated, itimmobilizesenemies for two seconds and damages them in a very large area. Upgraded withEnhanced Poison Creeper, the immobilize effect is bumped up to three seconds.

If you invest even more, grabbing theBrutal Poison Creeperupgrade will increase your critical strike chance by 20 percent against enemies you’veimmobilized. The only downside of this skill is the cooldown time, but that’s an acceptable trade for enemies that can’t move and higher DPS.

7Druid: Hurricane

Hurricaneis a Wrath skill for Druid that deals damage in an area around you for eight seconds once activated. With theEnhanced Hurricaneupgrade, enemies damaged by Hurricane areslowedby 25 percent for two seconds.

Coupled with various upgrades, likeNatural Hurricanefor a chance to make enemiesvulnerable,Endless Tempestto increase Hurricane’s duration, andPerfect Stormfor Spirit generation and 15 percent more damage tovulnerable,immobilized, andslowedenemies, you can keep the CC going while building some serious synergy.

6Necromancer: Corpse Tendrils

Corpse Tendrilsis a Corpse skill for Necromancer that causes red tendrils to burst from a corpse, pulling in andstunningenemies for three seconds. While this skill deals a bit of damage on its own,Enhanced Corpse Tendrilswillslowenemies in range by 50 percent before pulling them.

Ground Stompis a Defensive skill for Barbarian that smashes the ground around you, dealing a bit of damage andstunningenemies for three seconds. Picking upEnhanced Ground Stompwill increase the stun duration to an impressive four seconds.

GrabbingNo Mercycan give you up to nine percent increased crit chance againststunnedenemies, and with all that downtime, you can reposition yourself around enemies to get a well-placedKickin, knocking them into terrain to stun them for an additional three seconds.

4Barbarian: Iron Maelstrom

Iron Maelstromis a three stage ultimate skill for Barbarian that, on the first key press, slams a two-handed bludgeoning weapon into the ground,stunningenemies for two seconds. On it’s own, a two secondstuntime isn’t that impressive, but there are upgrades to help with that.

Getting all three points inConcussiongives you up to a 45 percent chance to stun enemies for three additional seconds. Just as useful as it is with Ground Stomp,No Mercywill give you extra crit chance. If you useBashas your basic skill, getting four hits in will cause yet anotherstun.

3Rogue: Dash

Dashis an Agility skill for Rogue that, at max level with no extra modifers, has a 9.8 second cooldown, dealing about half of the damage you’d normally do. WithDisciplined Dash, you’llslowenemies by 30 percent on hit, ordazeenemies alreadyslowedfor two seconds instead.

2Sorcerer: Arc Lash

Arc Lashis a Basic skill for Sorcerer that, on every ten swipes,stunsall enemies hit for two seconds. WithEnhanced Arc Lash, you’ll get an additional swipe for every crit, and withGlinting Arc Lashyou’ll reduce all cooldowns by 0.15 seconds every time you hit astunnedenemy.

Since basic skills are completely free to use at any time, it’s hard to pass up the value and utility ofArc Lash. Also, with Sorcerer’s Enchantment mechanic, you can eventually buff this basic skill so that when a cooldown occurs, enemies around you are stunned for half a second.

1Sorcerer: Frost Nova

Frost Novais a Defensive skill for Sorcerer thatfreezesenemies around you for three seconds. While the base cooldown at max level is 19.7 seconds,Enhanced Frost Novawill reduce its cooldown by up to four seconds per cast when you killfrozenenemies with it.

Great options for synergy include grabbing all three ranks ofHoarfrost, giving you an 18 percent damage increase to frozen enemies, andShatter, causing enemies that have thawed out to explode for 25 percent of the damage they took while they werefrozen.
