However, one rule will be implemented to the selections to make this list a bit fairer: if an actor has voiced a character multiple times, only their best performance will be selected. The legend Steve Blum has voiced Wolverine in a multitude of projects, but only his best performance as Logan will be showcased.

12Steve Blum - Wolverine - Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

Had this list been discussing performances within television and films, Steve Blum would be near the top of the list. The legendary voice actor has been lending his gritty voice to the grizzled Canadian mutant for decades now, in a variety of content.

One of Steve’s most fascinating video game roles asWolverinecomes inSpider-Man: Web of Shadows, where he not only plays the regular version of Logan, he plays a Venomized Wolverine as well. It’s fascinating to hear Blum’s unique brand of grit and aggression while also portraying a Venomized variation.

11Nolan North - Deadpool - Deadpool

If you want a portrayal of sheer absurdity and insanity, Nolan North’s take onDeadpoolis for you. The legendary voice actor manages to pull out a high-pitched, nonsensical, volatile performance for the Merc with a Mouth.

The performance stands out for simply being the most overboard and ludicrously wild version of Wade Wilson to ever grace a video game. North emphasizes Wilson’s uncontrollable nature and lack of self-awareness (or rather, increased self-awareness), creating an insanely unreliable protagonist.

10Romane Denis - Nikki Gold - Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxybrought back Nikki Gold, a classic Guardian of the Galaxy, with a whole new twist. Now the daughter of a Kree Nova Officer, Ko-Rel, Nikki became a youthful and a tragic ally (and enemy) for the Guardians.

Romane Denis' delivery allows Nikki to be a sweet, kind, and empathetic presence, one that can be equal parts snappy and heartbreakingly sad. Denis manages to showcase Nikki as a kid with great potential and as a brainwashed victim of her own grief and anger, creating a layered and fascinating character.

9Alex Weiner - Rocket - Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

The team’s raging gunsmith and crafty scavenger, Rocket has always had problems with authority. And sharing his feelings. And water. And the list goes on and on.

Alex Weiner’s portrayal of Rocket allows these feelings of disdain to be shown while making Rocket’s snide remarks feel endearing.

Rocket’s energy, his cool demeanor, his frustrations, and his self-destructive tendencies all are given depth thanks to Weiner’s portrayal. He manages to give the hero a tone that perfectly encapsulates his reckless and loving attitude.

8Nadji Jeter - Miles Morales - Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Miles Morales is given a new sense of confidence and depth inMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, all thanks to Nadji Jeter’s delivery and tone. Jeter’s performance is youthful and confident, but still raw with compassion and worry.

With the weight of the world now on his shoulders, Miles does his best to keep his head up and be strong. As a result, Jeter’s performance is strong-willed and charismatic.

He is a local hero, the community’s Spider-Man and Jeter’s performance emphasizes that sense of responsibility and kindness.

7Kimberly-Sue Murray - Gamora - Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Kimberly-Sue Murray allowed Gamora to have multiple layers, from being the galaxy’s deadliest woman to being a warrior desperate to protect the innocent, to even being the team’s resident figurine collector.

As a result, Gamora ends up being one of the most interesting and uniquemembers of the Guardians. Murray’s portrayal is bold, lonely, and remorseful, yet she also manages to be sweet and kind towards the others.

It’s a fascinating journey for the former assassin, allowing her to become a fan favorite.

6Jason Cavalier - Drax - Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Drax has by far one of, if not the most, tragic story withinMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The former fatherand warrior turned team powerhouse is full of surprises, but also layers of pain and guilt.

As a result, Jason Cavalier showcases a powerful and gritty performance for the Kathathian.

Cavalier’s Drax can be bombastic and aggressive, or remorseful, wise, and protective. From distrusting his teammates to protecting them to even hunting them once he becomes possessed, Cavalier allows Drax to feel real, and human above all else.

5Jon McLaren - Star-Lord - Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Jon McLaren’s Peter Quill feels like a rugged outlaw, far rougher around the edges. Yet, McLaren’s performance allows this to make Peter feel endearing and relatable, and a far more flawed hero.

Star-Lord is constantly trying his best to be a leader, and yet, he’s oftenstruggling to decidewhat is best for the group.

McLaren’s performance balances the hero’s quick wit alongside his pained, caring nature. He manages to make Star-Lord’s emotions feel real and gripping.

It’s a fascinating take on the character, one that impacts the way the story moves forward.

4Christopher Daniel Barnes - Spider-Man 2099 - Spider-Man: Edge of Time

Christopher Daniel Barnes made his impact on the Spider-Man mythos by voicing Peter in the iconic 90s animated series. Years later, he would go on to voice Spider-Man 2099, aka Miguel O’Hara, in Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

Barnes' performance as Miguel is far more serious and mature sounding than his work as Peter, and as a result, he allows Miguel to feel like a very different character rather than just another Spider-Man. He is righteous and slightly frustrated, but Barnes' voice allows him to also feel understandable and relatable.

3Josh Keaton - Spider-Man - Spider-Man: Edge of Time

Spider-Man: Edge of Time was a fan dream come true, as Josh Keaton, the voice of Peter in Spectacular Spider-Man, worked alongside Christopher Daniel Barnes. The result was a collaboration between two different generations of Spider-Men.

Josh Keaton channeled all of his Spectacular Spider-Man vibes within this performance, yet he added to his youthfulness and charm with a range of emotions. He allows Peter to feel more mature and experienced, a man struggling with his own emotions and terrifying new future, creating a complex and nuanced take on Peter Parker.
