In growing a bit of everything, you’ll learn not only whatsells the best, but also which crops arebest for you personallyon your farm.
Some crops are finicky and require set soil types and have longer grow times, so allow yourself the time tofind what kind of crops work best for you.
Just keep the growth calendar in mind, as mostcrops can only grow in certain seasons.
If you preferfaster turnarounds, focus mostly onfruits, but if you’re not worried about the wait time,root vegetables often have higher sale pricesto start due to theirtime constraintof taking so long to grow.Experimentand find which crops you like growing best, and which ones turn the kind of profit you’re looking for!
Once you have everything down, be sure toapply Fertilizer liberallyto your crops as they grow. You canfertilize twice per day, and by using fertilizer, you canincrease the gradeof the final crop when it’s time to harvest.

Unlock The Amazing Field As Soon As You Can
As soon as you’vemade at least one hybrid crop seedwith Vinnie,speak to Takakuraon a subsequent day. He’ll tell you that he canclear the land at the back of your farmto make a new field for you.
When the field is finished, you’ll getan entirely new fieldwhere you can grow evenmorecrops than before. And not only is itlarger, but this new field boaststhe most fertile soil on your farm.
The upgrade costs60,000gand can be purchased from theLedgeranytime after having this conversation with Takakura.
Even the pickiest of crops can thrive, asall crop seeds can grow in this fielddue to the soil quality. Yourhybrids require better soil, so the new field is an excellent place for them to grow.
Fruit Tree Seeds Sell For More Than The Fruits With The Seed Maker
Fruit treescan be quite a time investment, but while the actual fruits themselves do have their uses in meal preparation, if you’re trying to earn gold off the literal fruits of your labor, you’ll need theSeed Makerto make that happen.
The Seed Maker will allow you toinsert up to 12 fruits or vegetables at a time, and after a short while, you’ll receivetwo seeds for every one piece of produce.
Not only can you boost your hybrid crop production like this, but since fruit trees take quite a lot of work to boost the grade of the fruit itself, a simpler option is toconvert the majority of your tree fruits to seeds, and sell them that way.

Get The Best Products From Your Livestock
Turn Animal Products Into Refined Goods
While it’s great tohave a variety of livestock and chickensto cover all your assorted product needs at first, you’ll eventually be able tofocus on specific dairy-based products, as these net a far higher price.
Star Cowscost the most of any livestock, but theStar Milkthat they produce is ahigher-quality milkthan a normal dairy cow.
While youstart with one Normal Cow, you’ll eventually get to build theProcessing Room, which canmake Butter and Cheese from Brown and Marble Milks.
These only come from Brown and Marble Cows, respectively, which aremore expensivethan standard cows, as the intention with the milk they produce is toturn their milk into other products to increase the sale price.
Once youget a goatbeginning in Year Two, you may alsomake Goat Butter and Goat Cheeseto increase the value of this already high-value product.
Befriend Your Animals For A Better Base Product

Animals that like you will produce better Animal Productsfor you, and better products sell for more, so it’s always worth it to give the snuggles and brushings they’re asking for!
