The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomhas no shortage of quests and cooking recipes, and there are a few select instances where you can encounter both simultaneously. This is exactly the case in the quest “Gourmets Gone Missing,” a step in the right direction for a recipe, a cash reward, and (eventually) a new armor set.

However, if you want to do this quest, you’ll probably want to make a few preparations first. After all, who wants to attend a cook-off with no ingredients? With your bag full of delicious goodies, you’ll be ready to take on any recipe the gourmets throw at you.
Riverside Stable
To begin this quest, you’ll need to havealready started the “Potential Princess Sightings” questat the Lucky Clover Gazette. With that quest activated, Penn will be available to speak with at each stable.
However, before you go anywhere, you’ll likely want toensure you’ve prepared some items first. For this quest, you’ll want:
One Hylian Rice
Found by cutting grass in shallow water (rare) or purchasing at Hateno Village, Gerudo Town, Koroko Forest, Zora’s Domain.
One Rock Salt
Found by mining ore deposits (best found in Lake Darman Monster Den) or by purchasing in Goron City.
One Raw Meat
Found by killing any non-bird animal.
Travel to Riverside Stableto find Pennoutside next to a large treeon the waterfront (past all the animal pens). He’ll tell you that he’s heard tale of a recipe said to have been made by Princess Zelda.
Naturally, the game won’t just hand you the recipe. What’s the hold-up this time? Thepeople who know it never turned upto the stable.
To learn more, you mustspeak with Gotter, the stable chef. He standsdirectly ahead across the two animal pens and faces the bridge. He gives you a hint that thetraveling gourmet chefswho know Zelda’s recipeused to travel the bridge ahead.
As your road ahead will be a veritable trek, you’ll probably want to head to the stable and grab a horse for the ride. There are no nearby shrines or towers that will be faster than going by horseback, and the gourmets are, thankfully, along the main road anyway.
Travel across the Owlan Bridgeinto the forest on the other side. You’ll want tostick to the main path, stopping only if you wish to pick up resources along the way (this is a good tomato farming spot).
Eventually, you’ll come across the travelinggroup of chefs in a camp on the right sideof the road and slightly up a small hill. If you try speaking with them, however, it becomes clear that they’ve all fallen fiercely ill from “monster meat.”
To revive them, you’ll need touse the ingredientsmentioned before and in the journal next to the fire (Hylian Rice, Rock Salt, and Raw Meat)in the provided potin the center of the camp. This willcreate a Meat and Rice Bowl.
Give the Meat and Rice Bowl to the ill-stricken chef curled against the tree(closest to the road) to revive the full troupe. You do not need to make more than one dish.
Once the troupe is revived, you will be given aRaw Gourmet Meat,Rock Salt, andHylian Riceto replace what you’ve used in the bowl.
Afterward, Penn will arrive and give you the rest of your “Potential Princess Sightings” rewards. With another lead completed, you’ll beone step closer to that coveted Froggy Armor.
