And not only do you need to buy one, but you’re also now in charge of building it yourself. The problem? You’ll need the land and the rooms to put it all together, all provided by the illustrious, famous, and oh-so-reliable Hudson Construction… which just so happens to be occupied now. They’ll need your help if you want your home to be “Son and done.”
Tarrey Town Trivia
Your first stop for this quest is inTarrey Town. You mayremember this little townfrom the previous title, its creation largely thanks to your efforts.
Living in this town areHudson and Rhondson, the couple you witnessed get married a long time ago, and they’re the ones you’ll want tospeak with to get this quest rolling. They’re speaking with one another on theHudson Construction building’s patio.
Speaking with them will reveal thatthe two have now produced a daughterworthy of the -son name,Mattison.Unfortunately, she’s come of age to leave her life in Tarrey Town behind for an adventure in Gerudo Town (which may or may not be a little ill-timed, depending on when you start this quest).
Liberating Gerudo Townfrom the Regional Phenomenon isnot a prerequisitefor this quest. Rhondson will only comment that she worries about her daughter if the sandstorm is still ongoing, but Mattison will still be sent regardless.
They each wish todo something special for their daughter, and that’s where you come in. Once they apprise you of the situation, speak with Hudson as he descends the stairs.
Once Hudson tells you about wanting to play with his daughter, you canseek out Mattison on the second floor of the Hudson Construction home.
If Mattison is not there, she sometimes prematurely appears beside the elderly couple at the fountain Goddess shrine.
Speak with Mattison and follow her outsideto the fountain, where she’ll begin a language lesson with her grandparents. After she’s done explaining, she’ll ask you what “grandmother” is in Gerudo.
Answer “Vaba"to receive Mattison’s praise and end the brief trivia game.
You Shall Not Pass…This Mine Cart!
Next, Mattison will want tovisit her father at the Construction Yard. She’ll need totake the mine carton the far side of town down, but there’s a bit of a hiccup: aman is blocking the use of the mine cartfor monetary exploitation.
Mattison will give youa hinton what to do:

Whichever you choose, Mattison will run to the cart and take it down. Follow her by summoning the cart again through the man nearby or paraglide down.
you may also take this opportunity to complete theJochi-Ihiga Shrineby purchasing the stone beside the exploiting man, taking it down with you in the mine cart, and building a raft from nearby trees to follow the light to the nearby shrine area.
Painting A New Sun - Mattison’s Balloon
Mattison will bebeside Hudson in front of the central building and a balloon.Speak to themto be given your next task: painting the balloon.
To paint the balloon yellow, you’llneed at least tenSundelions.
There are several places to find them, but your best bet is to find them in thewestern and southern areas of the Sky map. They’re abundant on the islands, and you can skip between their shrines to collect enough.
Thebest Sky areasto find Sundelions are:
Give ten Sundelions to Hudsonto paint the balloon and go on a short balloon ride.
Once you’ve gone through the series of cutscenes to follow and Mattison finally goes off on her journey, you will be given200 rupees as a reward.
Additionally, if you visit Rhondson after completing this quest, you will finally be able tobuild your own home.Rhondson’s second reward for your help will be adiscount on purchasing land and two rooms for a custom homeof your own. Instead of 3,000 rupees, you’ll only need 1,500 to get started on your new adventure: “Home On Arrange.”
