Marvel Phase 5 is now on the full rollout ever since its start with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The introduction of the multiverse in Phase 4 caused a lot of fans to start theorising as to what other heroes that Marvel’s Cinematic Universe hasn’t showncould turn up via a parallel dimension.

As well as this, since Phase 4 and Phase 5 have been moving away from the traditional set of characters like the original Avengers and others pre-Infinity War, it means there’s a chance for fan favourites from the comics to finally make their MCU debut. These are a few hopefuls that fans have been wishing to see make an appearance in Phase 5.

8The Enchantress

Magic is all the rage in the MCU recently with Wandavision and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, so it makes sense that more and more magical characters could make an appearance soon. One of these is the powerful Enchantress, although things can get a little confusing since there are technically two have taken up the title.

One of them is Amora, an enemy of Thor whilst the other is a familiar face, Sylvie, a variant of Loki. Although we don’t know if Sylvie is to become The Enchantress especially due to multiversal shenanigans, perhaps in Loki Season 2we could see the Amora version of Enchantress come out or maybe be someone to confront Thor in his next movie.

7Hyperion

Hyperion is Marvel’s take on Superman even having the same powers as him from flight to heat vision, all whilst donning a superhero outfit befitted with a cape. Although he has been fleshed out to differentiate himself from the Man of Steel, Hyperion could still make an appearance soon as he was part of a supervillain squad fighting a group of Avengers formed by Kang.

There are different iterations of Hyperion but all with more or less the same powers, usually starting out as an antagonist but sometimes becoming a hero, even at one point joining the Avengers. Perhaps we’ll see Hyperion be manipulated by Kang to fight some heroes before being another powerful weapon to join in the fight against him.

6Ghostrider

Although he debuted in the quasi-canonical show Agents of Shield, there is still no real confirmation on whether Ghostrider is or isn’t in the MCU canon. This ambiguous space could prove to be an advantage though if we get an origin movie or show for Ghostrider.

It seems the perfect place to put a character would be Deadpool 3 as the supernatural and almost comedic character of Johnny Blaze could fit in with that film’s tone. But time will tell whether we even get a hint about Ghostrider’s appearance in the current phase.

5Captain Britain

With there being a new Captain America, maybe it’s also time to have a new Captain too. Captain Britain is a title much like Captain America.

Still, it began with Brian Braddock, a man endowed with mystical powers due to an enchanted amulet from Merlyn (yes, that one). He is known as the first and perhaps most well-known Captain Britain and thus could be an excellent place to start when introducing the character.

His life has been dedicated to protecting the British Isles and its people. It could be a great time to introduce the character as they deal with different universes including the Otherworld, a pocket dimension created by the collective consciousness of the British people.

4Quake

Another hero from Agents of Shield, Quake also known as Daisy Johnson quickly turned into a beloved fan favourite portrayed by the talented Chloe Bennet. Since the show is in a very weird place when it comes to its canonicity or not, we can assume that it could be hand-waved away as belonging to another universe.

Due to the popularity of Quake and the incredible character development over the course of the show, it would be a great gift to fans of the original show to have Chloe Bennet reprise the role.

3The Fantastic Four

It’s finally time. Anyone who knows the MCU understands that people have been eagerly anticipating the debut ofthe beloved Fantastic Four. Although they managed to get some solid movies in the mid-2000s, besides a failed reboot, the team of super scientists hasn’t really had a chance to enjoy the superhero renaissance the MCU has ushered in.

Even with an appearance in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, we want more than just a cameo role and the whole team.

2Storm

Despite the many theories that Ororo Munroe would debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, no such appearance seemed to make the mark, not even a mention of her name.

However, that doesn’t mean Storm can’t show up.

With confirmed plans for the X-Men to start making an appearance and with mutants like Namor on the scene, we can hope that Storm will be one of the first mutants when the X-Men finally appear.

1Doctor Doom

Along with The Fantastic Four, it would be great to see Doctor Doom make an appearance. Unfortunately, some fans have been concerned that due to Marvel’s history when it comes to their casting that they may ignore the character’s Romani heritage.

Hopefully, when Doctor Doom turns up, the MCU can finally do right and cast an appropriate actor for this iconic role and let’s hope that it comes sooner than later.
