Over the years, the Yu-Gi-oh! card game’s market has proven time and again that it can be as forgiving as it can be cruel. You and thousands of other players are at the mercy of the markets, trying to build the best deck you can while trying to avoid the RNG overlords of buying boxes and single packs.

Black Luster Soldier holds a sword against a red background

Don’t know whether to go all in or a certain card, or try and ride the wave or the market? Well, below lies the most valuable cards within the Maze of Memories set. Some of these you’ll recognize if you are a longtime player, but others will be brand-new cards you could add to your deck.

This list uses the market value of the cards as seen onTCGPlayer.

Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax - Yugioh

10Black Luster Soldier - Legendary Swordsman (CR), $33.97

One of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s most famous names returns in Maze of Memories, withBlack Luster Soldier - Legendary Knight, after becoming fused with the spirit of his lord, Ra. After having been purified, the legendary swordsman vowed to become a symbol of hope and justice to all who need him, likely Ra’s influence, but a good one.

Once you have either Chaos Form or the Super Soldier Ritual ready to go, you’ll be able to ritual summon Black Luster Soldier to the field. Not only does he have decent attack power at 3000 attack points, but he can attack your opponent’s life points directly. He’s not a bad buy to have in your deck and a somewhat decent price to boot.

Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon - Yugioh, non Collector’s Rare

9Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax (CR), $34.48

Lingering in the backgroundof the YuGiOh serieslies a mysterious entity called the World Legacy. Much about it is shrouded in the unknown, but once it caught wind of an oncoming threat, it decided to create a set of heroes that will answer the call and protect the world: The Mekk Knights. Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax is the final form and culmination of all the other Mekk Knights fusing into one.

Summoning it to the field can be a little complex. For starters, you’ll need to have summoned two Special Summons from your extra deck before pulling out this mammoth mech onto the field. Once it’s out there though, it can’t be targeted for card effects, and your opponent’s monsters will be unable to attack anything else on the field other than the Mekk-Knight. Perfect for a tank-heavy play style.

Solemn Judgment depicts an old prophet leading people with his hand

8Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon (Non-CR), $35.45

From the ashes of tragedy arises a majestic creature born anew. After being ended by their former creator the Crimson Dragon, a kind soul witnesses the tragedy and merges with the dying dragon to create a new entity called the Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon, the combination of the Accel Synchro Tuner Accel Synchron, and the aforementioned Stardust dragon.

When in your deck, the way you get them onto the field matches the lore perfectly. You’ll need to sacrifice both Accel Synchron with another Synchro monster to get them on the field. Once you do, you can immediately summon another one to the field using the leftover Synchron monster and a Stardust from your extra deck. You can keep this up as long as you have the cards available in both your main and extra decks.

7Solemn Judgment (CR), $48.99

A card made famousby the original Anime, Solemn Judgment was created by the (vague) gods as a means of punishing those who would dare and go against the rules. Originally used by Yugi Moto, this card has been used in at least four seasons of the show by protagonist and antagonist alike.

Being a trap card, you can place it down ahead of time in preparation for your opponent’s next move. When you activate it, you can negate the summoning of a monster or the activation of a magic/trap card your opponent tries to play. This power comes at a heavy cost of half your life points. It can certainly turn the tides of the entire match, but you’ll have to be careful of when you use it.

Guardian Chimera stands menacingly against a yellow type background

6Guardian Chimera (CR), $49.90

If the cards line up right for you, Guardian Chimera will allow you to wipe out up to three of your opponent’s cards that have control of. You have to have three different types of monster cards, but one has to be played from your hand and field separately, while the other you can grab from your Extra Deck.

Though seeming to be a high cost the effect that you activate makes it more than worth its weight inside your deck. The guardian comes in swinging with a decent 2800 attack and 2000 defense, while simultaneously taking three of your opponent’s cards out of play. Add polymerization into your graveyard, and your guardian becomes unable to be targeted by card effects.

The team of elemental heroes team up together

5Wake Up Your Elemental HERO (CR), $54.50

From a design standpoint, each of the elemental HEROES on their own would fit right in within a Sentai-type show, like Power Rangers. But instead, they are the representation of their respective elements based on their colors. Not much is known about them as far as the Yu-Gi-Oh! Universe is concerned, but they seem to play a bigger role than they originally let on as they are hinted at being from the cosmos.

Just like those squadron Sentai-type shows, at least two of the Hero cards are required, but the third card can be any Warrior-type monster you have in your deck. Once you’re successful, you have a powerful warrior with an attack up to 3400 and the ability to an extra monster each battle phase, equal to the number of fusion monsters you used to play it.

4Teardrop the Rikka Queen (CR), $59.95

This queen requires tribute! She reappears in the Maze of Memories pack as a collector’s rare, with a new reflective coat of paint to boot. As mentioned before, the Rikka Queen requires you to use two level eight monsters to summon her, but you can take one of those monsters used and detach it, giving you a chance to target a monster on the field and tribute it.

What does that do? Well, when you tribute a monster to the queen, she gains a 200-point boost to her 2000 attack points until the end of the turn. Not only that, but she comes with incredible art design on the face of the card. She is a deadly vision to behold.

3Baronne de Fleur (Non CR), $79.94

Baronne de Fleur is the embodiment of beauty being a strength. She encapsulates grace and elegance even in battle, and will not have a single hair out of place when the dust settles. The Baronne enters the scene on her equally stunning horse adorned with gold armor and a beautifully styled mane. An equal partner in both battle and beauty.

To say her strength is worth the price of a few sacrifices isn’t hyperbole. She can target a card of your choosing and destroy it, and can deactivate a card and destroy it simply by being face up. On top of all of this, she can resurrect a card from your graveyard level nine or lower, allowing you to special summon it to the field with minimal cost.

2Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon (CR), $183.25

That’s not a typo, the Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon is making a shinier reemergence onto the list with his Collector’s Rare edition. The holographic overlay adds a nice touch to an already stunning piece of card art, as most Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are known for, and this powerful dragon does not disappoint as it rushes toward you at supersonic speed.

Ultimately though, there isn’t much difference between this one and the non-collector rare edition when you are playing it on the field. So, unless you’re trying to intimidate other players, or you simply want to have the holographic version, then you’re better off sticking to the original Rare version of this Stardust dragon.

1Baronne de Fleur (CR), $238.99

Just when you thought her beauty couldn’t get any better, here comes Baronne de Fleur rounding out the most valuable of the cards. The holographic brings attention to parts of the background that got lost behind her beauty, such as the rose petals dancing in celebration behind her, or how her ornate shield has a sharp sword sticking out the bottom waiting to attack.

If you decide you want to get this card, you’re going to have to protect it a little more than the standard plastic sleeve and deck holder to keep her protected at all costs.
