The Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer revealed many new and exciting details about the future of theKingdom Heartsseries, and raised a fair few questions too. If you haven’t played the Kingdom Hearts mobile games, you might have been confused about whom the girl with long, ginger hair is, who greets Sora when he wakes up in Quadratum.

Strelitzia appears in no other games besides the mobile title Kingdom Hearts Union X, so for many fans of the series, this is their first encounter with the character. Prior to appearing in the trailer, Strelitzia was an important character in Union X, but an unfortunate fate led her to arrive in Quadratum ahead of Sora.
Who Is Strelitzia?
In Kingdom Hearts Union X, which takes placeduring the age of fairytaleslong before the events of Sora’s adventure,Strelitzia is a Keyblade wielder and the younger sister of Lauriam, Marluxia’s Somebody. She is also a close friend of the player character, who is known as Player by fans.
Thanks to her abilities,Strelitzia is chosen to become one of the Dandelions, a group of Keyblade wielders who were specially selected because of theirstrong connection to the light.
Ava,one of the Foretellers, trains Strelitzia to help her be prepared for the role, andreveals that the Dandelions have an important part to play in the impending Keyblade War. When the war begins, the Dandelions will leave the world to ensure that light prevails.
Ava gives Strelitzia a book of lawsthat the Dandelions, becoming Union Leaders to replace the Foretellers in the new world, would need to follow.
Now knowing the fate of the world and what she and the other Dandelions must do,Strelitzia begins to feel guilty about leaving the other Keyblade wielders behind.
Her closest friend, Player, is not one of the chosen Dandelions, andshe wishes to tell them the truth.
What Happened To Strelitzia?
Strelitzia decides to confess what she knows to Player, and goes to find them. They were last seen at an abandoned house, so Strelitzia and her Chirithy head there.
Unfortunately, Player is not in the house or anywhere to be seen, andStrelitzia and her Chirithy are attacked by someone in the shadows, who is revealed to be Ventus, possessed by Darkness.
The Darkness steals the book of lawsthat Ava gave to Strelitzia, and as a result of the attack,Strelitzia’s heart is released from her body.
Why Is Strelitzia In Quadratum?
In the Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer, Strelitzia explains to Sora that, for the two of them,Quadratum is an “afterworld”— presumably, a place where you go after dying.
It’s highly likely that Strelitzia found herself in Quadratumafter the Darkness attacked her and took her life.
