Vivid, vague, and not entirely lucid, Vivia Twilight is a deep-thinker who appreciates all of life’s intellectual delights. He is also quite the downer, as his most famous catchphrase quickly reveals. This complexity creates a compelling fellow who fights for justice alongside Yuma inMaster Detective Archives: Rain Code.

While the game keeps a low profile for Vivia until later on, at which point he’s practically an open book (and yet still so enigmatic), players can collect the Emerald Shinigami Statues in Kanai Ward to get some great optional conversations. Here’s where you’ll find all five of Vivia’s Memory Shards.
Memory Shard #1 - Can’t Live Without Books
You’ll encounter atutorial on Rain Code’s ‘requests’ system, AKA its side quests, when you attempt to leave theSun and Moon Hotelin Chapter 1. Vivia will request that Yuma find a certain book for him.Follow the green exclamation marks on the mapto complete the requisite steps leading to the bookstore.
Here, stacked among the shelves just outside the shopkeeper’s counter, is Vivia’s first Memory Shard.
Despite how obvious it appears in our screenshot, we managed to miss this Emerald Shinigami Statue entirely our first time here, so keep an eye out!
Memory Shard #2 - Even Crows Want To Pray
Another Memory Shard of Vivia’s that can be obtained as early Chapter 1, you’ll find thisat the church by following the dirt-and-grass path outside to its left. At the end of the path, near awrought iron gate, the Emerald Shinigami Statue rests.Of courseVivia would have one near a church…
Once you regain control of Yuma after meeting with theResistancein Chapter 3, find the twoPacifist Resistance Memberschatting outside near an old-style truck.Past the truck, in the corner of the area, is a van. You’ll find this Emerald Shinigami Statue beneath the van.
As an aside, isn’t the ground lovely here? All that purple… Rain Code’s a gorgeous game.
Memory Shard #4 - Floating Peacefully
Chapter 3 ups the ante on unique, one-time events, including a point at whichyou steer a boat through a submerged areain the city.Earlyin this sequence, dead ahead atop a crate, is the fourth Emerald Shinigami Statue.
This one shines brightly enough, thanks to the crate’s greyish shade, that you should be able to spot it easily. All the same, keep your eyes peeled just in case.
Memory Shard #5 - Beyond The Red Bridge
Don’t be alarmed if you don’t spot this before entering the food processing facility, as there’s another outdoors section before the end of Chapter 5’s exploration phase.Look to your right while crossing the red bridgeshortly after leaving the facility, andhang a quick rightas soon as you’ve crossed the bridge.
