It’s no secret that law and order in Velen have collapsed almost completely. Throughout your time in its swamps duringThe Witcher 3,you can find gangs of bandits doing bandit things. As always these criminals need correction, ideally delivered at the end of a sword.

The unmarked quest Caravan Attack consists of a gang of bandits attacking a merchant caravan traveling toward Crow’s Perch. You’ll have to intervene as soon as you witness the ambush to save its victims. Saving them will add another merchant to Crow’s Perch, giving you another business to flood with the junk accumulated over your adventures.
Where To Find Caravan Attack
This bandit attack is underwaysouth of Hanged Man’s Tree,in Velen. Don’t worry about missing it; the shouting and fighting make this quest easy to spot.
Leaving willdoom the victims to an early grave,stopping you from receiving the quest’s rewards and the merchants setting up shop in Crow’s Perch.
Charge into the fray anddefeat the banditsto complete the quest.
Saving The Merchants
You’ll need to kill the gang, which is easily accomplished. The gang consists of a handful of thugs, mostarmed with swords.Be wary of anaxe-wielding banditand ashield-wielding bandit.These enemies are more difficult than the rest.
Axii can work wonders on either enemy.Using the Sign willbriefly stun the targetand lower their defenses. Considering thataxe-wielding bandits cannot be parriedand thatshield-bearing bandits easily block your attacks,the Sign will make things significantly easier.
These merchants will not suffer this attack without putting up a fight. They willhelp Geralt fight the bandits,drawing the attention of several fighters in the process. The good news is that theywill not die in combat,letting you focus on your own fight.
Once all the bandits have been killed, the merchants willthank Geralt for his helpand give a modest20 crown reward.They’ll arrive at Crow’s Perch in a week’s time, where you may engage their services.
