Of course, along the way, we will also give you advice on how to defeat the foes you will encounter during your hunt. With this guide by your side, you should have no issues acquiring every last log available in Armored Core 6’s second chapter.
Infiltrate Grid 086 - Invincible Rummy - Silver Log
Rummy will provide you with your first Battle Log. This silver log is quite literally impossible to miss. You can’t complete the level until you kill Rummy. I feel like we’ve talked an inordinate amount of time talking about how to beat Rummy, but for the sake of being thorough…
Rummy only has two weapons: a shotgun and a chainsaw called “Double-Trouble”.Being a close-combat specialist, he hits very hard when he hits clean. His chainsaw also does quite a bit of attitude damage, so he can stagger you quickly. That being said, since he is so focused on fighting in close, he does tend to be pretty susceptible to ranged attacks. And since he will often commit to his melee attack, he is often locked into a lengthy animation, which is your chance to hammer him with heavily damaging attacks.
If you dash away from Rummy, you will be able to fire off your most powerful projectiles, and he will often run directly into them.
Infiltrate Grid 086 - Tetrapod Pair - 2x Silver Logs
This pair of MTs is easy enough to locate. Once you destroy Rummy a door will open up that will allow you to reach the level above. From here, head straight until you are outside, then fly up to the top of this building. On the roof, you will find the pair of Tetrapods. This pair of Tetrapods is rocking a familiar loadout, especially if you completed all the Loghunts from the first chapter. That is to say, these Tetrapods come equipped with a Pulse Blade, Shotgun, and a Shoulder Cannon.
The thing to be aware of here is that the place where you fight these Tetrapods is littered with little nooks and crannies. This is especially useful, as these Tetrapods are not compact, and they can very easily get hung up in these sections of the stage. So, we recommend fighting them from the outskirts, and once you get one of them hung up, engage the one in the open area, this way you won’t have to fight two at a time.
When fighting them one-on-one, just stay at mid-range and wait for them to lunge in with their Pulse Blade, then unload your most powerful guns into them.If you keep to the middle range, you will be able to minimize how much damage you absorb. Just be prepared to strafe the Cannon shot. Alternatively, since their only long-range weapon is a cannon which is quite easy to dodge, you can get high up and light them up with your best ranged weapons.
Infiltrate Grid 086 - Rolling MT Pair - 2x Bronze Logs
These two MTs aren’t particularly tough, you can take them out easily with either a Pulse Blade slash or something that hits hard (like a Bazooka) before they even have a chance to get their offense started. The main thing is finding them. Both of these MTs are rolled up in a ball, sitting on a small platform that is in the area behind the pair of Tetrapod MTs (which are on top of the building where you fought Rummy).Just move away from the quest marker and you will find yourself in the section of this stage with this pair. They aren’t on the top-most level, so you may need to drop down a floor to find them.
Infiltrate Grid 086 - Novaac - Gold Log
This is the most deviously hidden Battle Log of the bunch. Partway through the stage, you will find yourself inside a structure. After having worked your way through the structure, just before exiting via a gate, you will see molten metal pouring out of a pipe, opposite that pipe, there will be another one that doesn’t have anything coming out of it. Go through that pipe, and will lead you directly to Novaac.
This battle is set in a tightly enclosed space. So, you will want to be equipped with weapons that work well at close ranges. If you come equipped with a melee weapon in one hand, and a shotgun in the other, you will likely find that this battle goes pretty smoothly.
Novaac does have a shield, but though it will diminish the damage you deal, explosive weapons, or a melee weapon, will bust right through it.The most important thing to keep in mind is that low ceiling will stop you from being able to use missiles that don’t fire directly forward. You will be better served by having a laser cannon strapped on your shoulder.
Novaac himself is equipped with a laser cannon on his should, a plasma rifle in one hand, and a burst fire rifle in the other. This makes him fairly dangerous at the mid to long range. However, with a melee loadout, Novaac isn’t arealthreat. Especially since the enclosed space will make impossible for him to flee you.
Infiltrate Grid 086 - The Rolling MT And Two Small MTs - 3x Bronze Logs
Once you reach the final section of the stage, where you will fight a Tetrapod MT and a bunch of MTs, don’t engage them. Instead, take a right. There will be one of the Rolling MTs and two of the smaller MTs that like to cling to ceilings. Take them out for three bronze Battle Logs. If you don’t see the smaller MTs that is because they are clinging to the underside of one of the nearby structures.
Ocean Crossing - Four Hovering MTs - 4x Bronze Logs
Start the mission by looking for a giant hole in the ground, this will lead you to a giant engine room. Here you will fight a few hovering, pyramid-headed, drone MTs.
If you life, you can just take a right at the beginning of the stage, continue until you hit a ledge, and then hop down. This will let you skip the underground section, but you will have to deal with the death-dealing lasers.
Once you work your way to the exit of the engine room, look to your right. There will be two of those hovering drone MTs. Shoot the pair down for two Battle Logs. Now, there will be a tunnel here, enter it, and you will encounter two more of those flying MTs.They also carry Battle Logs. If you don’t see them, carry on to the end of the tunnel, they’ll be hanging out nearby. Once you clear them out, you will have obtained all the Battle Logs in the Ocean Crossing mission.
