Below the surface ofThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis a dark and mysterious place known only as the Depths. To reach the cavernous bowels of Hyrule, you’ll need to locate and travel through the ominous pits the Hylians call Chasms. These Chasms can be found all across Hyrule ever since the Upheaval, and each can lead you to new and exciting secrets.

Although most Chasms are easy to spy on your map or from a bird eye’s view, there are some hiding where you least expect them. Some Chasms may lead you to the wide and seemingly endless maze below the earth, but others will lead you to secret and otherwise inaccessible locations you’re certain to want to explore.
All Chasm Locations
There are36 Chasms to find, and although many of them will lead into areas accessible by other Chasms, there area few unique Chasms that will reveal hidden areas only accessible via a single entrance.
Some Chasms will also be locatedin hidden locations like caves and inside the heart of mountains or guarded by difficult bosses.

Location and Special Notes
Hyrule Field Chasm

Required to enter this Chasm and finish itsassociated quest with Robbieto unlock the Camera function. It is located in thecenter of Hyrule FieldbesideJiosin Shrine,south of Lookout Landing.
Hyrule Castle Chasm

You can enter this Chasm from the start of the game, but it is recommended tofinish the Regional Phenomenon and Mineru quests before attempting to entervia jumping underneath the floating Hyrule Castle.
Otherwise, you will be greeted withfive strong bosses in a boss-rush style gauntlet.
Hyrule Castle Moat East Chasm

To reach this Chasm, you must stand on the landmassdirectly right of Hyrule Castle.
Facing Hyrule Castle and just west of the Chasm’s location,jump from the cliffside and glide toward the waterwhere you can see gloom funneling into a cave carved into the cliffside.
Hyrule Castle Moat West Chasm

This Chasm ishidden within a large rock masson the landmass to the west of the castle. The entrance is on theeast side of the rocky hill.
Mount Daphnes' Chasm

This Chasm is atthe base on the western side of Mount Daphnes. It is disguised asa well near the bank of the river, and jumping in will lead to the Depths.

Great Plateau North Chasm

This Chasm and the other Great Plateau Chasms are allrelated to the A Call From The Depths quest, started in the Depths below them. It requires you to use these Chasms totransport the Bargainer’s eyes.
The Northern Chasm is locatednorthwest of the Kyokugon Shrineand on thenorthwestern edgeof the Great Plateau (above the Forest of Spirits).

The Eastern Chasm is inthe Eastern Abbey on the far eastern sideof the Great Plateau and several cliffsides below the Temple of Time. Itoverlooks the Yiga Clan training campfarther east.

The Western Chasm is at the Great Plateau’shighest point on the southwestern edge. It sits high on the cliffside and overlooks the River of the Dead.

The Southern Chasm is onthe southernmost tip of the Great Plateauand sitting on one of thelower cliffsidesin plain view.
Hyrule Ridge Chasm

Hyrule Ridge Chasm is sitting out in the opensouthwest ofRunakit Shrine.
Its position is onthe far western side of Hyrule Ridgeand above the Thundra Plateau and Ludfo’s Bog.
Rowan Plain Well Chasm

The entrance isa well located on the Rowan Plain. It is indicated by a large accumulation ofGloom seeping out of the well.
Rito Village Chasm

From the Gatakis Shrine,look right to a grove of pine trees leading toward a cliff. Run toward the cliff and, at the sight of the bridge, jump off the cliff to glide slowly down.
Past a second grove of pine trees below, you should see acave within the rockfacebeneath where you jumped. Glide into it and fall into the Chasm.
North Lomei Chasm

To enter this Chasm, you’ll need tocomplete the labyrinth around itand dive in from the top floor.
Elma Knolls Chasm

This entrance ison top of Elma Knolls, the large hill just southwest of Great Hyrule Forest. It leads to an importantYiga hideout.
Drenan Highlands Chasm

Situatednorthwest of Great Hyrule Forestand southwest of Typho Ruins Skytower, this Chasm sits in plain view inthe Drenan Highlands.
This Chasm is where theancient stone tableton the Sky island above will fall and where Dinraal the dragon enters the Depths.
Minshi Woods Chasm - Deku Tree Chasm

Minshi Woods is the entrance to the Depthsaround the Great Hyrule Forest. It is located in Minshi Woods to the southwest of the impassable forest.
The Deku Tree Chasm is the exit to this area of the Depths andrests within the Deku Tree.
Death Mountain Chasm

This Chasm isonly available during the exploration of Eldin’s Regional Phenomenonand when completingYunobo of Goron City. It is guarded by a miniboss known asMoragia.
Skull Lake Chasm

This Chasm is on thelowest island in the lake. The tallest pillar in the lake instead houses Skull Lake Cave, but Skull Lake Cave does not connect to the Depths.
East Akkala Plains Chasm

This is one of — if not the — largest Chasm in Hyrule. It sits proudly within view of all in the East Akkala Plainsnear Sinatinika Shrine and north of Tarrey Town.
Lomei Labyrinth Chasm

This Chasm sits in plain viewbeneath and south of the Akkala Citadel Ruinswhere you may find theDomizuin Shrineand aThunder Gleeok.
Tingel Island Chasm

Without the use of flying devices or roundabout methods, the standard way to reach this Chasm is throughentering the island chain on the south side at Davdi Islandand making your way north.
Zora’s Domain Chasm

From the main entrance bridge in Zora’s Domain, jump down andtoward the waterfall pouring out of the domain.
Making sure youdo not haveZora Armorequipped, glide down andpass backwards through the waterfall to discover a hidden caveon the other side. Follow it in to find the Chasm entrance.
Lanayru Wetlands Chasm

This entrance sits inopen view on the grass marshland on the north side of Lanayru Wetlands.
East Hill Chasm

East Hill Chasm isa large entrance just north of Kakariko Villagenear the borders between Lanayru Wetlands and West Necluda. It sitsbetween East Hill and Pierre Plateau.
Naydra Snowfield Chasm

Naydra’s preferred Chasm sits at thebase of Mount Lanayruon the southwestern side facing Naydra Snowfield.
Meda Mountain Chasm

Sitting atopMeda Mountain, this Chasm is on thesecond level of cliffs on the mountainside.
It can be reached via theRabella Wetlands Skyview Towereasily, gliding north to the visible Chasm.
Eventide Island Chasm

This Chasm is on Eventide Island, an island far east of Lurelin Village. To reach the island that this Chasm is on, you’ll need touse a Zonai device by either air or sea.
Hills of Baumer

On thenorthwest bank of Lake Hylia, this Chasm sits on the hillside looking over Lake Hylia and Deya Lake (to the Chasm’s northeast).
Lake Hylia Chasm

This Chasm is locatedinside a rock shaped like a crater on the west side of the lake, just below the geoglyph in the rockface. The bridge nearby is guarded by aFire Gleeok.
South Lomei Chasm

South ofEast Gerudo Ruin Cave, east of Gerudo Dessert, and north ofSiwakama Shrine, this strangely placed Chasmrests atop several cliffsand is best accessed by gliding fromGerudo Canyon Skyview Towerto its location to the southeast.
Birida Lookout Chasm

A large Chasm west (and slightly north) of Gerudo Canyon’s southern exit, it isnestled into the Gerudo Highlands mountainsideand surrounded byBirida Lookout and the Great Cliffs.
Yiga Clan Hideout Chasm

Located justwest of the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, you’re able to find this Chasm atthe old Yiga Clan Hideout locationfrom Breath of the Wild.
This arena can beaccessed by gliding east from Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.
Gerudo Summit Chasm

As it’s sitting atop thehighest point of the Gerudo Summit, you’ll have toglide north from the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.
Reaching this Chasm will require the use ofwarm clotheslike theSnowquill set.
