The Broken Key quest can be a bit frustrating inPaliabecause the game doesn’t give you a clear direction on what you need to do. Thankfully, it’s very simple:you just need tomine any rocks, anywhere on the map - including in Bahari Bay.It doesn’t need to be an ore rock like copper or iron; literally, any rock will do.
Once we got the quest, we ran to the nearest rock and mined it - we got theBroken Keyfrom the very first rock. However, you might need to mine a couple more rocks before you get yours to drop.
The Broken Key Quest
This quest is handed out by Jina early on in the story.
She’lltell you about a special door she’s discoveredthatrequires a key to enter, and that it should be “lying around somewhere.” That’s about all the information you get - but don’t worry, just go and mine some rocks until the key drops.
As we mentioned above,it doesn’t matter what the rock is or where it’s located.We mined one in Bahari Bay and got a key to drop on the first time.
Once you’ve got the key, you can head back to Jina and complete the quest.
There have been some instances wherethis quest is bugged- at least, that’s what has been reported in the Palia Discord server. The game is still technically in a beta period, which means bugs like this can happen.
Thankfully, a simple solution is to restart your game or visit your home plot. Once you’ve done this, try and mine a rock again to get the Broken Key to drop.
