At the Highland Stable down in Faron, travelers are hearing a threatening voice echoing at night, so it’s up to the Hero of Hyrule to go see what’s going on in this “Potential Princess Sightings” quest in Tears of the Kingdom.
This guide contains spoilers for elements of Tears of the Kingdom.
How To Finish “An Eerie Voice”
Since this is but one of several of the quests that relate to the overarching"Potential Princess Sightings!" quest, you’ll trigger its beginning by speaking to Penn at theHighland Stable.

Our feathered reporter friend tells us of talk he’s heard around the stable from travelers saying they’re hearing acreepy female voicecoming from the nearbyFlural Plainduring the nighttime hours. It sounds like the voice isthreatening to kill passersbyunless they surrender their weapons to it.
Not sure whether this cruel threat could be coming from Zelda, you agree to help Penn goinvestigate the nearby Flural Plain at night.
If you’d like to do the quest right away, but it’s not nighttime, sit by the fire or rent a bed at the inn to pass the time. Either way, when it’snighttime, you’ll find Penn waiting for youby the stable gate. When he’s there, speak to Pennto begin the adventure.
Once you’re in position, follow the sound of the echoing voiceto center in on its source - theHaran Lakefront Well, hiding just out of sight behind a tree in the field outside the stable.Jump into the wellonce you’ve found it.
There, you’ll meet a woman namedSagessawho’s been singing a beautiful song of storms down there, because she likes how her voice sounds with the reverb off the stones. Good thing you’ve arrived - she wasn’t sure why people kept droppinga stash of weaponryby the well’s entrance.
Penn will call you back to the surface for a summary and to give youyour rewardfor helping him, which scales the more quests you do for the “Potential Princess Sightings!” quest line, and the quest will be marked as complete.
Before leaving the area, return to the well - with no use for them herself, Sagessa won’t mind if youtake the bounty of weaponsthat people had tossed down to her.
