He was also released as a playable character in the first half of the same update, but you’ll need to farm quite a lot of materials if you want to make him strong. Most of these materials were also released in this update, and here’s what you need.

Blade Ascension Materials

Whenever you get a new character in Honkai: Star Rail, you can upgrade them to a maximum level of 80. Although, this upgrade system is divided into different ascension phases, and you can only reach a specific level after a certain ascension. Here’s everything you’ll need to ascend Blade fully:

You’ll have to upgrade yourTrailblaze Level to level 60if you want to unlock the final ascension.

you may alsoupgrade your Equilibrium levelto get better drops so that you can get the required items easily.

Keep in mind that all the materials mentioned above are the requirements for Blade’s ascension itself. After every ascension, you willhave to upgrade his level to the maximum before you’re able to continue to the next ascension. Moreover, it’s purely your choice to upgrade his level past 70 since there’s no new ascension at level 80.

The character EXP materials required to upgrade the final ten levels might not be worth compared to the base stats that you get. Although, all characters are on the battlefield because of the turn-based combat of the game, so the extra health might come in handy since all the enemies can attack you.

Blade is a Destruction character, which means that he has aninherently higher chance of getting attackedas well.

You can acquire Blade’s mob drops byfighting all theMara-Struck enemies scattered all across the Luofu. Moreover, the Ascendant Debris can be acquired through the Shape of Celestial Stagnant Shadow, which unlocks during the main story quest that was released in the Version 1.2 update.

Blade Talent Materials

A character’s traces are designed quite intricately in Honkai: Star Rail. There’s an entire section dedicated to Blade’s Traces, andyou’ll see four main skills here that can be upgraded up to level six or ten. Other than that, there are three Bonus Abilities and plenty of smaller nodes that give his abilities a direct boost.

The trace material requirements can roughly be divided into two sections:

10,000

20,000

45,000

240,000

2x Tracks of Destiny

652,500 Credits

The materials mentioned above are the requirements for one of Blade’s Traces.

If youwant to upgrade his Skill, Talent, and Ultimate, you’ll need thrice the total materials mentioned.

Apart from these, you’ll also need abunch of materials to upgrade his Bonus Abilities and other nodes. Since Blade is a main DPS, you’ll want to upgrade his Traces as much as you can. You canfind the Regret of Infinite Ochema through the Divine Seed Echo of War. You can only farm this thrice every week, with each run giving you two to three of them.
