Thankfully, that’s where Ranch Hands come in! If you’re overwhelmed by the workload on the ranch, you can hire a Ranch Hand to stop by each day and help. From caring for the horses to making repairs at the house, Ranch Hands offer an invaluable service.
What Is A Ranch Hand?
When Do Ranch Hands Work, And For How Much?
In The Sims 4: Horse Ranch, Ranch Hands arehired help for your ranch, able to help keepyour horsescared for and things around the ranch itself in tip-top shape.
Ranch Handswork from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM, and will report towork every day, including holidays.
Hiring a Ranch Hand will run you100 simoleonsas a base payment, with12 additional simoleons per hourthey work. Unless you dismiss them early, Ranch Handscost 244 simoleons each day.
What Does A Ranch Hand Do?
When you hire a Ranch Hand, by default, they’llperform three main taskswhile at work:
If you haveCottage Livinginstalled and keep more than just horses on the ranch,the Ranch Hand willcare forallanimals, not just the ones introduced in Horse Ranch.
You can alsoask them to collect Manurethat’s been left around the farm, if you don’t want to do it yourself.
However, you must ask them to do this, asRanch Hands do not automatically collect Manure.
Since there are a few uses for Manure in the game, Ranch Hands typically leave Manure duty to you.
However, if you dotask them with collecting it, Ranch Hands willleave all collected Manure in the family inventoryfor you to collect at a later time.
How Do You Hire A Ranch Hand?
Thankfully, hiring a Ranch Hand is easy in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch. You’ve gottwo different waysto find one.
The easiest and most direct way is tocall one from your cell phone, which can be done from wherever your Sim is at any point.
To find them, head to the"Home" tab on the phone, and then select"Hire a Service"like you would for maids or nannies. They’re currentlytoward the bottom of the listof services.
Your other option for hiring a Ranch Hand is to use theRanch Bulletin Boardyou’ll find aroundChestnut Ridge, with a conveniently located one just outsidethe Equestrian Center.
With this method, there’s no sub-menu to navigate - simplyclick “Hire a Ranch Hand"to get the ball rolling.
